Ok, so there is a lot going on right now. I am trying to finish my degree for physical therapy aide, so I can move on to the next thing which is massage therapist. This is really hard to vent when I cant say anything due to safety issues and the military. But what I can say is that when my husband gets deployed sometime I want to move to Utah, but i am having a VERY hard time finding a place for me and Cami that allows pets........ *Deep sigh*..... I will keep looking I guess.
So, I was going through old emails and I found some from when Jordan was deployed last time, and It made me think. Yes, I get annoyed with him about stupid little things, and yes, neither one of us is perfect, and there are times when he drives me crazy! But I wouldn't want anyone else to be imperfect with, or to drive me crazy!
We were driving today, and we have made a pact to stop swearing. And I said sometimes there are days, that I get frustrated, and everything I do gets undone in 10 minutes, and I just need to scream and say "Damnit". We laughed! I love that man!
Cami has been sick the past few days, cough with a fever, and an eye infection. Both are really nasty boogery messes. So needless to say, Cami is been a booger herself. Actually not too bad considering she is stuffy and congested and cant breathe, but irratible and needy. So, when we got home from running errands and out to eat, Jordan took care of Cami and I got to relax and get some schoolwork done. He gave her a bath, lotioned her, gave her vitamins, her eye cream, and used saline solution and a booger-sucker to clear her airway. She hated all but the bath, lotion and vitamins (weird girl LOVES her vitamins, and tylenol for that matter...). She was a fussy turd through most of it, and it broke my heart to hear her cry and scream. But I got to snuggle her after and it was nice because Jordan got to be the "bad guy" and I got to be the "good guy" snuggler to make her feel better! What an amazing husband!
Well, I guess I have ranted enough for one day.... I am doing pretty good at keeping up to date! Now, I just need someone to show me how to edit my blog to make it all cute and the way I want it to look.....

Happy New Year! Bring on 2010!
Ok, so last I left off was my birthday, Dec 12. Next we have my favorite holiday Christmas! (When I was litte, I thought that the Christmas tree was for my birthday, and I knew it was almost my birthday because of it)
Jordan, Cami, and I spent a quiet little holiday in our own little house in Manhattan, Kansas. Nothing big or stressful. Christmas eve we just hung out and opened one present, which we chose the one from his mom. It was a beautiful hand- knitted blanket that is VERY warm! We love it! Then christmas morning we woke up and opened presents and took our time taking lots of pictures. Then we made a HUGE Christmas breakfast w/ waffles, eggs, hash-tatoes, and cresents. YUMMY! Then the rest of the day we played with our new stuff and hung out! It was perfect because the entire Christmas season we didnt have to worry about traveling, or anything like that.
New Years Eve we spent with a couple different families from our ward; The Bittles, the Raricks, the Rattecliffs, and the Smiths. We played Rock Band (Beatles and regular) older kids were running around with nerf dart gun things. Me, Rachell Bittle and Sarah Smith all have daughters within a few months of each other (Sarah's daughter Scarlett and Cami are a day apart) so they were playing on the floor and it was funny to watch them interact with the other babies. Then Me and all the men played poker and I kicked everyone elses ass! I was AWESOME! But, we didnt get to finish because it got to late... :(. We all counted down to midnight and screamed and yelled! It was really fun! I really like the people in my ward! :)
Well. Since then not too much exciting has happened. One of my best friends Amanda Schoech has moved back to Manhattan from Arizona and is living in our attic for a few months until she can save money and find a place of her own. I love having her here!
Well, I dont want to say too much about the subject, but Jordan is going to deploy this year. When he does I am hoping and planning on moving back to Utah to be close to family and to go to massage therapy school (one degree closer to becoming a physical therapist). So, even though it is far away as they are saying he wont deploy until summer/fall sometime, I am trying to think of choices and decide what I want to do, what school, what to do about daycare, where to live, what to do with our dog and cat etc... It is very stressful and I am hoping for the best.
Right now Cami is very good at sitting up by herself! She has recently learned how to go from sitting to laying so she can roll over to the toys she wants. Right now rolling over is her means of mobility and she is VERY fast at rolling over. She is across the room in minutes (when SHE wants to be of course!) She is getting very close to crawling. When she is on her stomach is is starting to bring her legs up under her to be on all fours. While she is sitting she tries to get in the all fours position but her one leg just gets stuck and it frustrates her that she cant crawl yet, its quite funny to watch! :) She is one baby who wants to get going! I have made bets with friends that she is walking before her first birthday!
Cami does very well with solid foods! (No suprise there, she is and Earl/Bateman and part Capell by association. So far she has tried and likes: rice cereal, carrots, peaches, oatmeal, pears, applesauce, sweet potatoes, and bananas. Next I am going to do a green veggie, Last time I gave her a green veggie(peas) she barfed, so hopefully she can tolerate them better now. Hopefully! In the near future I am going to introduce whole grains, but i am holding off a little longer while I try to intro more fruits and veggies. Soon though, she will try whole grains. I am worried about food allergies, especially since my niece is deathly allergic to all nuts. I know its not hereditary to be allergic, but I am just making sure that what we do try she has no probs with. Call me over protective, or whatever. I dont care.
Well, Its 1am and I am SO very tired. Jordan is working the overnight shift which really sucks. THat means he sleeps most the day and we are opposite schedules. Anywho, good night!

Oct-Dec 2009
I didn't intend this blog to be as long as it is. But I had to finish updating so that I can continue to update it and keep it up to date. So, its really long. Sorry.
Ok, so October came and went so fast it is hard to remember back that far. I found out my older sister Amber and her husband Joe are going to have another baby! Due end of April, and this baby will be #2! They already have a beautiful girl Roni (Veronica). She will be SUCH a cute big sister!
Well, I had a halloween party on halloween, but as lame as it sounds, no one showed up. Even people who said that they would come, didnt. Very very disappointing. But I had fun with my sisters parents, and niece, and daughter. I dressed up as Dorothy (and made the COOLEST shoes!) Cami was going to be Toto, but I couldnt find a cute enough costume, so she turned out to be my little Cowardly Lioness. My other older sister Kim dressed up as Glinda the goodwitch, and my Mom dressed up as the Wicked witch of the East! Even though the party was a disappointment, we still had fun handing out candy and making homemade donuts!
Jordan was done with his K9 training in San Antonio, TX end of Oct. He drove from TX to our house in Manhattan, Kansas and then a few days on later on Nov 3 flew from Kansas City to Salt Lake City. He stayed for a few days and we were able to have a Thanksgiving Dinner with both our families and then we played some games. So much fun! I love our families!
Jordan and I were getting ready to go back to our house in Kansas with our dog Kiki, cat Lola, and baby Cami. Now, instead of re-typing it all and not getting the facts straight, I just copied and pasted from a note on facebook.
WELL! instead of telling people one by one I am just going to write a note and keep updating it.Jordan and I were on our way from Utah to Kansas when our car broke down. We left Orem, UT at about midnight on thurs/fri morn going north to I-80 through wyoming. We (and I mean Jordan as I was asleep in the back seat) heard a knocking coming from the engine pretty close to the WY/UT border. We stopped at little America and a service man said we could drive on it as long as we watched the tempurature and oil level. So we (again, Jordan) drove for another hour or two and the knocking got louder and overall worse. We had just passed Rock springs so we turned around and went about 40mph on the side of the road for what felt like forever until we got back to Rock Springs. At this time it was about 4-5am. We drove around Rock springs looking for any type of mechanic that was open or anything and we found a GM dealer. As our Envoy is a GM car, we parked outside it and waited for it to open at 8am. Luckily someone showed up early and let us in and let us sleep on the couch instead of in our freezing car. (at this time our car wouldnt even start). So on Friday we sat around and the dealership while they tried to figure out what was wrong. LUCKILY we have an extended warranty on our vehicle so there were many phone calls from the dealership to warranty. Some high-up person of the dealership has a good friend who works at the Hilton who has a son serving in Iraq. Therefore she is very favorable to military personelle. Through this connection we were/are able to get an excellent deal at The Hilton. (its a really nice suite with a kitchen-ette and living room and a bedroom. Its super nice!!So, on friday the dealership took the the oil pan and stuff apart to take pics for the warranty ppl to see. Its to show them whats wrong and that the car is in good condition and was/is well taken care of. No sludge buildup, we have paperwork saying we got oil changes and all the maintenence stuff. They emailed the pics to warranty and we have been waiting all weekend to hear what warranty is going to say.So, today is monday, we have been waiting all weekend for what warranty wants to do. The warranty dept needs to decide if the pics are enough evidence or if they need to send out an investigator to go an physically view the vehicle. Until warranty decides what they want to do the dealership cannot and will not work on the vehichle. So we have been waiting by the phone all day waiting to hear from the dealership what warranty has decided and of course warranty is dragging its heals about the whole thing. They wont answer when the dealer calls and they arent returning any of their calls. So as of right now, monday evening, we are waiting for warranty STILL!!!! Then they can START to fix our car and then we can get out of this hellhole town of wyoming!!!! Turns out we are only about 3 hours away from SLC!!! I will keep you all posted and I will try to remember to take pics too. LIFE IS AN ADVENTURE!!!!Tuesday morning:We got a phone call this morning from the dealership! The warranty FINALLY called back and they have approved repairs, which means that saves us about $5,500!!! Yay!!!! SO! The plan is that they are going to take apart the engine today and overnight the parts to be here tomorrow and hopefully fix it so we MIGHT be home in kansas by friday!!! We will see, but maybe we will be home for the weekend!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, our warranty covered the new engine (Thank goodness! Like a $7,000 coupon!) and the mechanics and customer service people at the GM Dealer were amazing! They overnighted the engine, and put it in our car and we were able to leave Friday evening. We got to Denver where his dad lives, and stayed a couple nights, and then drove the remaining part home back to north eastern Kansas. Denver was really snowy, but luckily we were able to drive out of the snow storm.
Then we had thanksgiving! It was me, Jordan, our friends Mary and Scott, and some friends from DQ Amanda and Thomas. And Cami of course! We all had our parts of what to make, and we at A LOT of delicious food! And then we played poker and phase 10! What an awesome day! Unfortunately Mary and Scott have moved back to Michigan because Scott has gotten out of the army. So good for them, but I really miss them and their company!
Cami tried solid foods for the first time on Dec 7. It was rice cereal and she did really well with it! The girl knows what to do with a spoon! She is a Bateman after all! :)
My birthday was on December 12, and I turned 23! It feels so old, even though I know its not! Again, I am going to copy and paste from facebook.
Happy birthday to me, as of yesterday! What an adventure this life is! I woke up to breakfast in bed! Waffles, scrambled eggs, and Jordans famous potatoe hasbrown things.. Yummmmm-O!! Then, Jordan had set up an appt for me to get a pro massage! AWESOME! It was amazing! Then Jordan, Cami and I went to Topeka (about a 30 min drive, if Jordan is driving 45 mins if I am driving LOL) and we shopped, window shopped, christmas shopped, and just walked around. Then, when we were on our way to Olive Garden (MY FAVORITE!) We heard a knocking noise from the engine! ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME!? A brand new engine not even a month old and it is making the exact noise it was when we broke down in wyoming!?!?!Jordan and I were livid, we didn't know what to do or who to call. Would warranty cover ANOTHER engine!?!? Well, we drove just across the parking lot to Olive Garden to eat, as we were both starving and decided to ignore the car for now. So we ate A LOT and it was D-licious!!! Then we got back to the car, and drove to Sams Club. We had to make it a quick trip as they were closing in half an hour. Cami and I stayed in the car and Jordan ran in real fast. It was time to deal with the car. Jordan popped the hood and was using the light of his cell phone to look at the engine and all that other stuff under there. He was having me turn the car on and off, and push on the gas and what not. Welp. Good news is that Jordan has a STRONGGGGGG stomach!! More good news is that nothing was wrong with the engine. Come to find out that there was a dead rabbit in our grill, or up under it or something. We have a lot of rabbits by our house so we dont know if it climbed up under the hood before we left and had survived the entire drive to Topeka and died while we were in the mall, or got under the hood while we were shopping. But that was when we noticed the knocking was after we left the mall. Anyway, the rabbit was fresh. And to spare some very discusting details we could have had a few lucky rabbits feet, ears, and ribs. What was making the knocking sound? The skull of the rabbit was against the fan. Jordan was able (again, the man has a very strong stomach) to get the rabbit, or the remains, out of our car. We left a present for the employees of Sams Club because we just left it there in the parking spot! We had a good laugh as we were quite relieved to not have to replace our engine, or worry about the drive home and our car dying or something AGAIN. WELL. My life motto is now "Life is an Adventure." It was a good birthday well spent with my little family!
I think that is all for now. Plus I am getting tired. I hope all is well with everyone out there who reads my blog!

Update: Sept-Oct
Left: Auntie Kimmie with both of her nieces
Right: Cami in her stroller at a city fair
Bottom: Taking a nap with Grammy
Well, after the visit to Texas to see Jordan, i was able to enroll in school. So my life wasn't very eventful. I would wake up take care of Cami, and when she would nap I would work on school. Than my mom would come home from work and she would love Cami and we would hang out. Sometime she would have places to go or sometimes I would have places to go. But we would talk and laugh and play with Cami.
I would also go over to friends houses and hang out with them. Do lunch, go out to lunch, go shopping, or just sit around and talk and laugh.
I miss having so many people so close.
Well, halloween came around and I dressed up as Dorothy and Cami was my little Cowardly Lion! I had a halloween party and we made donuts and ate a lot of food and my Mom handed out candy to trick or treaters. Would have been more fun had people actually showed up. I was very very frustrated that I went to all the work of throwing a halloween party and nobody came. I had one friend and one cousin come. Even the people who told me they were for sure coming didnt come. That was the most annoying part. Unfortunatly I can't put up any halloween pics, because i didnt take any. My mom did though, so there are pictures, I just dont have any.
Update: August-September
Cami's First airplane ride! From Kansas City to Salt Lake City!
Oh my. It has been a very long time since I have posted anything on my blog. I am sorry. I am honestly going to try and keep this thing updated. I guess the only place to start is where I left off.... Good luck to me....
Well, my last blog was in July. Cami wasnt even 2 months old yet. She is now 6 months old! But I will talk about that later.
In August Cami and I had an airplane ticket to Utah for a visit for only about 10 days. It was just going to be me, Jordan couldnt get time off. The day before I was supposed to leave for my vacation Jordan was told to go to K9 school in Texas for 3 months. That changed things a bit. I didn't want to stay in Kansas with a brand new baby all by myself for 3 months. To me that was a recipe for postpartum depression. SO! My mom invited me and Cami to live with her while Jordan was training. So Cami and I left on the flight that we were originaly going to take for our visit, just not fly back. (We flew southwest so we just canceled our flight and the money we had spent on the flight was able to be used as a credit towards another flight, in which we used for Jordan to come out in November.)
So Cami got to fly on her first airplane at less than two months old! She was amazing on the flight! We had a layover in Phoenix and had to run from one gate to another and with a new baby was very difficult, but we managed.
I was able to fly to San Antonio, Texas where Jordan was doing his training for a week in the begining of september. It was great to see him and for him to see Cami. It had only been a month, but she grew so much in that time! Jordan had fun showing me the sites, and we went to Hard Rock Cafe, because I had never been to one before.
While in Utah i was able to start school. It is an online school and it is for Physical Therapy Aide Certificate. When I "graduate" I will be able tow ork alongside a physical therapist and help patients. I am really excited! I am about half way through now!

Strange
Jordan and I had a ward BBQ tonight and it was so much fun! It was the strangest feeling having the young women in the ward ask to hold my baby. That used to be me, going around to the new moms in the ward asking to hold their babies. Or sitting next to them in church so I can hold the baby. It was a very surreal feeling now that the tables have turned and the young women are asking to hold my baby.

Camberly is a Night Owl
Well! We finally finished all the legal work today, birth certificate and insurance crap. Done! Check that off the list!
Cami has been very nocturnal lately. She has her nights and days backwards. Which is strange because when she was first born she had days and nights straight. So needless to say I get to be awake all night and sleep all (most) of the day away.
She smiled for the first time on Tuesday July 14! It was so sweet and amazing! It melted my heart! I knew she was about to start smiling I just had to wait!
I love to watch Jordan and her interact. She doesn't yet know that she has the best dad in the world! I try to make sure that they have time together as I feel like I hog most of her due to him having to work and I am nursing her so I get to see and hold her often and a lot.
I really miss my family lately. Strange how in high school I would do anything to avoid family, and here I am actually missing them. I don't know why I miss them so much more now. Maybe because I am sad that they don't get to see Cami as they do Roni, and in that sense I am jelous. I am excited for when we move back to Utah and live close to family. It would be really nice to have someone to call on to babysit or just help when I need it and get frustrated with a baby who won't sleep.
Cami is starting to get too big for newborn sizes and starting to wear more 0-3 month sizes. I am so excited for her little milestones but at the same time I am going to miss the ones that are over. I am trying to just enjoy the moment and what is going on now.
